New World Systems Enhances Decision Making & Access to Mission Critical Data for Public Safety Agencies

Company Representative October 20, 2010 Product & Service Announcements

Troy, Mich. — New World Systems is arming public safety supervisors and command staff with an intuitive and highly effective solution to enhance decision making and improve organizational performance and emergency response planning. The new solution, Aegis Decision Support, pulls accurate and actionable intelligence from within an agency’s public safety software to report, trend, analyze and view with easy-to-understand dashboards. New World will unveil Decision Support at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 117th Annual Conference, October 23-27, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

“Decision Support offers agencies an open window to information that is typically locked away and hard to access in other less advanced public safety software systems,” said Mark Prevost, Vice President of Marketing for New World. “It provides command staff and supervisors the ability to quickly and easily use the vast amount of data their agency collects each day to monitor performance, improve resource allocation and do more with less.”

Utilizing Microsoft SQL Server technology, best-practice data warehouse design and leveraging Microsoft’s Business Intelligence technologies, Decision Support delivers the right information in the right format quickly. Information can be presented in the form of reports, grids, maps, graphs and charts to make trends and critical information recognizable immediately. Decision Support Dashboards offer a high level overview of operations and the performance of an organization for supervisors and command staff.

“Dashboards provide substantial benefits in helping public safety officials operate efficiently and effectively, especially at a time when resources are being cut, crime is rising and agencies are under close public scrutiny,” said Prevost. “Decision Support Dashboards help law enforcement officials make precise and well informed decisions.”

Decision Support provides law enforcement officials with a view of developing crime trends, helping to improve resource allocation and planning of crime reduction initiatives. It helps Fire agencies evaluate response times and perform station analysis, including reporting needed to maintain agency accreditation. Decision Support offers the tools to quickly and easily analyze and report on bookings, releases, inmate details and more for correctional facilities.

During IACP, law enforcement executives are invited to visit booth 4137 in the Expo Hall to learn more about Decision Support and the many ways New World can assist agencies in turning their mission critical data into accurate and actionable intelligence.
