Aeroflex to Demonstrate LTE Leadership at International CTIA Wireless 2011

Company Representative March 24, 2011 Product & Service Announcements

STEVENAGE, UK, and ORLANDO, Fla., USA—INTERNATIONAL CTIA WIRELESS —March 22, 2011— Aeroflex Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp. (NYSE:ARX), will demonstrate its comprehensive range of instrumentation for the design, verification, servicing and manufacturing test of LTE networks and user equipment at this week’s International CTIA Wireless event in Orlando, USA.

Aeroflex LTE leadership started with the delivery of test systems in 2007, and now offers a complete range of end-to-end test systems that cover R&D, performance, service and manufacturing test applications for LTE TDD and FDD network equipment and terminals.

“No test vendor has a more complete LTE offering for each stage of the product cycle than Aeroflex,” said Evan Gray, product and marketing director of Aeroflex Test Solutions. “From RF testing of chip sets for LTE handsets right through to emulation of thousands of mobile terminals for load testing a network under real operating conditions, Aeroflex has a flexible, future-proof product to meet every test requirement.”

The Aeroflex TM500 test mobile family is in use with almost every base station manufacturer across the world, and can be regarded as the de facto standard for eNodeB development and testing. It supports both FDD and TDD modes of LTE, and provides backwards compatibility with worldwide 3G standards. The high-performance hardware platform is ready for 4 x 4 MIMO and is extendable for LTE-Advanced (LTE‑A).

The award-winning EAST500 is the only network capacity test solution that incorporates the proven Aeroflex TM500 LTE air interface, and is the best-selling LTE capacity test system into the US market. EAST500 is flexible and scalable depending both on the number of UEs – from hundreds to thousands – and on the number of cells required. It offers true end-to-end LTE network load testing over RF in both FDD and TDD environments, using real data services and applications.

The Aeroflex 7100 LTE Digital Radio Test Set is a complete one-box test system providing all the tools required for the measurement and characterization of user equipment (UE) chip sets and mobile terminals to 3GPP LTE standards, including optional signal fading simulation.

The PXI 3000 Series, modular RF test system based on PXI technology is a proven solution to accelerate throughput in manufacturing and time to market in R&D while catering for current and future RF test needs. It is particularly suited to modern multi-standard cellular and wireless data communications and critical testing in a high volume manufacturing environment.

Aeroflex has engineers working in centers around the world on its LTE and LTE-Advanced test systems, to support the current and next generation of networks and devices.
