APCO International to Honor Advocates of Public Safety
Daytona Beach, Fla. — Public safety communications leaders and others will assemble in Washington, DC on May 17, 2011, to attend APCO International’s 7th Annual Leadership Awards.
The Public Safety Communications Leadership in Policy Awards Dinner recognizes the leaders in public safety communications who continue to advocate for the industry. Public safety leaders and association members, members of Congress, Administration, Federal Communications Commission, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Commerce, and other State and local officials will honor award winners at the Mandarin Oriental Washington, DC.
Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Leadership in Advancing Communications Policy
- Leadership in Legislative Service
- Leadership in Regulatory Service
- Leadership in Advocacy
This year’s dinner falls in line with the allocation of D Block spectrum andworking with all parties to pass legislation by the 10th anniversary of September 11th.
