Suwanee, Ga. — Communications Sector has donated public safety mobile and portable radios and high capacity batteries to the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) to support that agency’s response to recent tornadoes.
In providing the donation, Mark Jasin, Senior Vice President and General Manager, noted that “Kenwood has seen both the devastation in Alabama and the remarkable response of the AEMA and wanted to offer tangible support to an agency that is critical to the state’s recovery.”
“The State of Alabama appreciates the generous gift from Kenwood,” said Art Faulkner, AEMA Director. “It takes partnerships like this to help those affected by the tornadoes and rebuild Alabama.”
The donation included more than forty five mobile and portable radios, software, accessories and three hundred lithium-polymer high capacity batteries, to be used in existing AEMA portables.
