Grays Harbor Public Utility District Taps Exalt for Network Backhaul

July 19, 2011

CAMPBELL, Calif., July 19, 2011 – Exalt Communications today announced that Grays Harbor Public Utility District (GHPUD), a public utility based in Aberdeen, Washington has deployed Exalt microwave backhaul systems to carry critical SCADA and automated meter reading (AMR) traffic from its substations to its main data center. GHPUD provides electrical service to customers in northwestern Washington, and its network also carries two-way radio and 911 voice traffic for Grays Harbor county agencies and Ethernet traffic for Internet service providers.

The Fire Department app empowers everyday citizens to provide life‐saving assistance to victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. “The app crowd‐sources Good Samaritans to events where the potential need for bystander CPR is high,” said Fire Chief Richard Price. “The vital work of the PulsePoint Foundation has already begun,” added Price. “PulsePoint is set to begin partnering with nearly two hundred fire and EMS agencies that have expressed interest in deploying the application in their communities.”

Anderson County, S.C. — After suffering crushing headaches for two years and a pair of minor strokes, Leslie Albergotti recently underwent a CT scan that revealed a large brain tumor. Albergotti’s co-workers held a benefit for her Saturday at the county’s Centerville Fire Station on Sullivan Road. The event included a yard sale, car wash, barbecue plate sales and four auctions for flights on a LifeFlight helicopter.
