PHILADELPHIA, Pa., Aug. 8, 2011 — NICE Systems’ PSAPs’ Finest Awards is an annual recognition program through which individuals are nominated by their public safety peers and winners are selected by a panel of judges. “Serving as a PSAPs’ Finest judge has given me the opportunity to step back and recognize the difference 911 professionals make, not just in my backyard, but in other communities across North America,” said Captain Baker. “It has indeed been an honor.”

Technician of the Year: Robert W. Jeffrey Jr., Communications Systems Supervisor, Orange County Sheriff's Office

Telecommunicator of the Year: Christopher Scott, Telecommunicator, Thurston 911 Communications (TCOMM)
Shirlene Skipper of Sumter County commented: “While this year’s PSAPs’ Finest winners hail from different backgrounds and settings, they all share a passion for providing excellent public safety customer service.
