InterAct Public Safety Federal Systems Division Awarded Contract at Pentagon Force Protection Agency

Company Representative November 3, 2011 Product & Service Announcements

Winston-Salem, NC, October 19, 2011

InterAct Public Safety, a leading provider of incident response and emergency management software and solutions to government organizations and commercial clients, today announced it has been awarded a contract with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) by contract with Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division and their prime contractor, Burns and McDonnell.  Under the terms of the award, InterAct will deliver Computer-Aided Dispatch, Geographic Information System, and Records Management software in support of an integrated emergency response environment to help protect the occupants, visitors, and infrastructure of the Pentagon, Navy Annex and other Pentagon facilities.

InterAct Federal Systems Division was selected in a competitive evaluation process as the solution that meets the goals of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.  This solution for PFPA combines commercially available public safety technologies with an extensible software platform for integration and future growth.  Used in hundreds of emergency operations centers every day, InterAct software enables dispatchers, first responders, and security personnel to effectively protect property and save lives.  When operational, the InterAct system will enable the PFPA to achieve the goals of reduced incident response times, enhanced emergency responder service capabilities, and increased speed and productivity of PFPA personnel.

“Protecting the Pentagon and keeping it operational are the primary objectives of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency,” said Bernadette Murray, Project Manager, Burns and McDonnell.  “After an extensive definition of program requirements, a comprehensive evaluation of qualified companies and technologies, and a thorough selection process, InterAct demonstrated the capability to meet the requirements.”

InterAct Federal Systems Division was established to focus on the specialized needs of the U.S. Federal market.  “We understand PFPA’s unique mission, culture, and environment,” said Jeff Jones, Vice President, InterAct Federal Systems Division.  “We are pleased and honored to have been selected by Burns and McDonnell on this important project.  This win further validates our commitment to providing solutions that meet the public safety requirements of our Federal government customers.”

“InterAct recognizes the significance and history of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency and its mission to protect this critical national asset,” said InterAct CEO John McNulty. “InterAct Public Safety is proud to support the requirements of PFPA’s integrated public safety system. We are confident that our approach will meet and exceed expectations, and provide a platform for growth well into the future.  We are diligently working to ensure that the unique needs of the PFPA are paramount in our planning and implementation of the integrated emergency response system.”
