1-800-IDIOTIC: WTC ‘Drunken Dialer’ Arrested

A drunken doofus was arrested for making light of the nation’s worst-ever terrorist attack when he called 911 from lower Manhattan and allegedly falsely reported that airplanes were flying into the World Trade Center, law-enforcement sources said.
Jason Golub, 40, was so wasted that he couldn’t remember dialing the 911 operator on his cellphone at the corner of Cortlandt and Church streets around 4 a.m. on July 9, sources said.
According to a Criminal Court complaint, Golub told the operator, “There are airplanes flying into the World Trade Center! I need assistance at the World trade Center!
“I called President Bush! I want to be connected to the government!
“Airplanes are going to blow up the World Trade Center!”
NYPD detectives later easily identified Golub by retrieving his phone number from 911 records, the complaint states.
The dimwitted Golub was arrested yesterday on a charge of falsely reporting an incident, authorities said.
When cops played Golub the 911 tape of his conversation, the clueless man allegedly said, “That’s my voice. That’s me, but I don’t remember making that call.
“I get drunk a few times a week, so I guess I could have done it.”
