Emergency CallWorks 3rd Generation Software Streamlines Public Safety Call Taking-to-Dispatching Workflow

Minneapolis, MN, August 21, 2012 – Emergency CallWorks Inc., a leading provider of NG9-1-1 and incident management software for the public safety industry, announced today that it will be showcasing its 3rd major release of the Industry’s first converged Public Safety Solution for Call Taking, Mapped ALI and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The announcement was made today during the Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials (APCO) International 78th Annual Conference and Expo.
The new release amplifies on the company’s founding principle to streamline and simplify the complexity of traditional, legacy Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) products by deploying a single, easy-to-customize workflow solution converging web-based technologies, Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and call taking-to-dispatching functionality into one modular application.
Some of the new features include:

  • Easy-to-Tailor configuration that allow channel partners and users to remove, add or adjust agency and operator specific items including Notifications, Agency Data, Incident Types, Dispositions, Priorities, Mobile Unit Configuration, Unit Status, TDD messages, Common Place names, Directory and speed dial button configuration
  • Dispatching and call handling improvements including: new intuitive transfer methods to aide busy multiagency operators; convergence of prior knowledge, location-based information and stored media
  • New Dispatch and Call Handling reports and improvements to the Decision Support data mining and reporting tool
  • Mapping improvements to support customizable Hover Query feature and improved search criteria
