Sprint Names Sharon Montgomery Vice President – Federal and Public Sector Sales

Overland Park, Kan., Feb. 21, 2013 ­ Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced the appointment of Sharon Montgomery as Vice President-Federal and Public Sector Sales, responsible for sales and support to federal and public sector customers.  Sprint currently serves more than 160 government agencies including the largest agencies associated with Homeland Security and law enforcement.  Sprint also serves the United States¹ largest hospital system and over 150 military bases around the world as well as state and local governments.

Montgomery is a seasoned leader in telecommunications and the government segment. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Government and Education for Level 3 Communications. Prior to that, she served in a similar Vice President role at CenturyLink/Qwest Communications.

³For nearly two decades, Sprint has been a telecommunications leader for Civilian and Department of Defense agencies.  Looking ahead, Sharon has the proven track record to lead Sprint forward in this important segment,² said John Dupree, Sprint Senior Vice President ­ Sales.  ³She is a known quantity among government agencies; someone who is widely trusted and sought after for counsel on communications solutions.  Her experience will serve federal and public sector customers well as they continue to transform the way they communicate.²
