Zetron Dispatch System Featured in Live Demos with P25 Networks at IWCE

Company Representative February 27, 2013 Product & Service Announcements

The Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG) will feature in its booth at IWCE live demonstrations of Zetron’s P25-compliant Advanced Communications (Acom EVO) system operating with five major radio manufacturers’ P25-compliant radio networks.

Redmond, WA, U.S.A., February 26, 2013 –Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical solutions worldwide, announced that its Advanced Communications (Acom EVO) system operating live with five major radio manufacturers’ networks will be featured in the Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG) booth at the International Wireless Communication Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 13-14, 2013. Acom EVO utilizing the TIA P25 Digital Fixed Station Interface (DFSI) will be demonstrated live with Tait, Codan Radio Communications, and Simoco conventional radio networks. Acom EVO utilizing the TIA Project 25 (P25) Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI) will be demonstrated live with Cassidian, Tait and Motorola trunked radio networks.

The DFSI and CSSI are the two P25, IP-based wire-line interfaces that pertain to radio dispatch consoles. The DFSI is used for making a direct connection between the console system and conventional base and repeater stations. The CSSI is used for connecting the console to the switch network (RF SubSystem [RFSS]) of a trunking or large conventional system. The demonstrations will illustrate the seamlessness with which a console system and network that are both utilizing P25 open-standards-based interfaces are able to interoperate.

“Because we believe deeply in the benefits open-standards-based solutions deliver to customers, we are very pleased to be included in PTIG’s live demonstrations at IWCE,” said Zetron president and CEO, Ellen O’Hara. “The demonstrations will give customers the opportunity to witness firsthand the interoperability, compatibility, and flexibility Zetron’s P25 solutions offer, and to also see the maturity these solutions have achieved in recent years.”

Public and private demonstrations will be offered and will include information about the background, features and benefits of P25.
