Huntingdon County (Pa.) 9-1-1 to Host Open House
Huntingdon County 9-1-1 will host our First Ever OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, April 20, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the communications center in the Huntingdon Borough Building, 530 Washington Street, Huntingdon, PA.
We’re hosting this event in conjunction with National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. The Open House will feature tours of the 9-1-1 center led by dispatchers. It’s a rare opportunity for everyone to see inside the communications center.
We’ll have our “Huntingdon County 9-1-1: The Number to Know” display set up, featuring the new 9-1-1 Interactive Simulator Phone. Huntingdon Borough Police will be on hand to explain the MedReturn Drug Return Unit and have information on Child Care Seat Safety. Plus, we’ll be participating in the national “Lend a hand—Save a life” CPR Challenge, with visitors able to watch a demonstration and try hands-only CPR. Check out the attached flyer for more information. Please share this announcement, and we invite you to make plans to join us!
