Delta County, CO Deploys Vantage Points Dispatch Suite for Public Safety GIS
GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Delta County Sheriff’s Office has leveraged the power of Esri’s ArcGIS Server 10.1 integrating Vantage Points Dispatch for the Spillman Computer Aided Dispatch module. Real-time calls for service are plotted for dispatchers, enabling them with full GIS capabilities when responding and dispatching deputies. Vantage Points Dispatch has given Delta County a common operational picture to make intelligent decisions based on real world locations covering a 1,149 square mile area. Information such as active CAD calls, aerial photography, address locations, rural and county roads, city areas, recreational areas, Google Street views, weather feeds, large parcel access points and a wealth of additional data give the dispatchers the information required to get first responders on scene as fast as possible. Without these capabilities, dispatchers had to rely on the knowledge of the area when deciphering the location of a 911 caller. Vantage Points Dispatch has eliminated the ‘guess work’ in identifying where to send first responders when seconds count.
Vantage Points Dispatch in conjunction with the Spillman CAD module allows a seamless sharing of data between all users within the Public Safety Departments. By leveraging Esri’s ArcGIS Server and connecting to Spillman’s CAD platform, Vantage Points displays mission critical information to help Sheriff, EMS and Fire officers save time, money, and lives. Vantage Points Dispatch provides a robust set of GIS functionality to assist the dispatchers while sending officers en-route. Geospatial analysis can now be accomplished. Users can query critical facilities near an event such as fire hydrants, registered sex offenders, hot-linked data such as pre-fire plans, building movie walk troughs, and school floor plans. Dispatchers also have the ability to consume mission critical attributes of multiple GIS layers in a single window at any given location in the County. Customizable reports are also available to display calls for service over any time frame desired.
