Synergem Technologies and AGENT511 Announce Full Integration of Next Generation 9-1-1 Solutions: Delivering Text and Pictures to 9-1-1 Today From All Major Wireless Carriers

Company Representative May 28, 2013 Product & Service Announcements

Greensboro, NC / Chicago, IL – Synergem Technologies, Inc. and AGENT511 jointly announce the formation of a strategic business alliance integrating AGENT511’s state-of-the-art, fully functional Text-to-9-1-1 solution into Synergem’s Next Generation 9-1-1 network (EvolutionNET) and i3 NG9-1-1 call-taker solution (Evolution911).  As a result, not only is Text-to-9-1-1 fully implementable today, but 9-1-1 centers can also now request – and receive – pictures from 9-1-1 callers.

Synergem has built the nation’s first NG9-1-1 ESInet, acceptance-tested to NENA’s i3 standard for Next Generation 9-1-1 services.  AGENT511’s fully functional Text-to-9-1-1 solutions are operating successfully today in several prominent locations across North America—serving the populations in those areas on a ubiquitous basis. This comprehensive, end-to-end, highly scalable NG9-1-1 solution suite will facilitate the transition to Text-to-9-1-1 over the next several years.

Synergem CTO Myron Herron stated, “We are delighted to establish this strategic alliance with AGENT511, the leader in real-world Text-to-9-1-1 deployments, so that together we can geospatially route and seamlessly deliver text and pictures to 9-1-1. This solution aggregates texts from all major carrier networks, and enables PSAPs to receive images from wireless callers at the PSAP’s option —something no other provider can do today. This is a decisive and critical differentiator for our Text-to-9-1-1 solution.”

AGENT511Steve Irving, VP Business Development/Sales stated, “AGENT511 is excited to be working with Synergem, the leading provider to deliver true NENA i3 solutions today.  With our combined innovative solutions, we are able to implement a fully compatible and interoperable platform allowing PSAPs to handle Text-to-9-1-1 now, rather than two years down the road. Moreover, our solution is readily adaptable to meet any realistic transitional or end-state scenario.  AGENT511’s proven experience with working Text-to-9-1-1 systems is certainly unmatched and gives us a real leg up on the rest of the field.”

Synergem CEO Clark added, “Given the widespread use of texting, Text-to-9-1-1 is a key NG9-1-1 enhancement that implements the FCC‘s effort to speed the transition of our nation’s emergency communications infrastructure to harness a multi-media communications technology commonly used in everyday life. This upgrade is important to the wellbeing of our citizens and the overall security of our nation.”
