LOUISVILLE, Ky., — “The crashes have practically come to a halt.”

That’s Col. Steve Wagner, Chief Deputy of the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana. He’s talking about an intersection in the county where, thanks to information gleaned from Appriss’ collision reporting system, it was made very clear there were an inordinately high number of accidents. That information helped county government decide to install two additional stop signs at the intersection, turning a two-way stop into a four-way stop, which led to the decrease in accidents.
