A Ventura County sheriff’s dispatcher will be honored Saturday for her 23 years of service, officials said.

Julie Reupert started her career with the Glendale Police Department as a community service officer and joined the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in 1989 as a dispatcher.

She has worked for four sheriffs and seen many changes in public safety communications. She is leaving the agency to work with the Vacaville Police Department, officials said.
