Red River Regional Dispatch Center, Fargo, ND Receives APCO P33 Certification
Red River Regional Dispatch Center in Fargo, ND has met or exceeded the minimum training standards for the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Project 33 (P33) Training Program Certification-2010 and has been awarded certification as of August 8, 2013.
Public safety agencies utilize P33 certification as a formal mechanism to certify their training programs in meeting with the APCO American National Standards (ANS). Initial and continuing training for public safety telecommunicators is important as they provide essential services to the public in an expanding and rapidly changing environment.
Terry Hall, president of APCO International, said, “Ensuring that public Safety Telecommunicators are trained to a nationally recognized standard is critical in providing emergency communications services to the public.
