Your Conference Connection

Public Safety Communications August 17, 2013 APCO

APCO International’s 79th Annual Conference & Expo is being held in Anaheim Aug. 18-21. If you aren’t here, you’ll be missing out on top-notch educational sessions and the chance to make powerful connections with the vendors in the exhibit hall and your colleagues from across the U.S. and around the world. But if you can’t be here, then this website and the electronic APCO Show Daily will serve as your connection to the conference.

We’ll be bringing you tips and lessons from various sessions and speakers, letting you know about demonstrations and incentives being offered by the exhibitors and exclusive interviews with APCO leaders, such as the reflections of outgoing APCO President Terry Hall.

We’ll also be keeping APCO members abreast of the business taking place at the conference. For example, the Executive Council met Friday, Aug. 16. The members will be bringing back a lot of information about the state of the association to their individual chapters. They encourage members to ask them questions and bring your concerns to them. APCO leaders will be setting a schedule of regular meetings in coming months, and the Executive Council, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee will be discussing issues related to telecommunicator retirement, spectrum allocation, the buildout of the National Public Safety Broadband Network and FirstNet, the T-Band, training, standards and more. Let them know what your concerns are.

Stay posted and look for the APCO Show Daily in your inbox every morning of the conference. We hope to keep you connected, wherever you are.
