Huntington Park, CA Deploys Vantage Points Dispatch for Public Safety GIS

Agency Representative September 16, 2013 Product & Service Announcements, Technology

Huntington Park, CA Police Department has leveraged the power of Esri GIS technology by integrating Vantage Points Dispatch for the TriTech/ VisionAIR Computer Aided Dispatch module.  Real-time calls for service, e911 wireless and landline calls, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) data are plotted for dispatchers, enabling them with full GIS capabilities when responding and dispatching officers.  Vantage Points Dispatch has given the Huntington Park Police Department a common operational picture to make intelligent decisions based on real world locations.  Information such as active CAD calls, Phase II calls, AVL, aerial photography, address locations, surrounding communities, Google Street views, weather feeds and a wealth of additional data give the dispatchers the information required to get first responders on scene as fast as possible.  Without these capabilities, dispatchers had to rely on the knowledge of the area when deciphering the location of a 911 caller.  Vantage Points Dispatch has eliminated the ‘guess work’ in identifying where to send first responders.

Vantage Points Dispatch, in conjunction with the VisionCAD module, allows a seamless sharing of data between all users within the Public Safety Department.  By leveraging Esri’s technology and connecting to the VisionCAD platform, Vantage Points displays mission critical information to help officers and dispatchers save time, money, and lives.  Vantage Points Dispatch provides a robust set of GIS functionality to assist the dispatchers while sending officers en-route.  Geospatial analysis can now be accomplished.  Users can query critical facilities near an event such as fire hydrants, critical facilities, address locations, parcel owners, roads and intersections.  Dispatchers also have the ability to consume mission critical attributes of multiple GIS layers in a single window at any given location in the City. Customizable reports are also available to display calls for service over any time frame desired.
