Company Representative November 4, 2013 Product & Service Announcements

Redmond, Wash.― Zetron president and CEO, Ellen O’Hara, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT), an organization that represents the commercial sector on issues that pertain to emergency calling and communications in the United States and throughout the world. Zetron, which designs and manufactures mission-critical communications solutions such as 9-1-1 call-taking, dispatch, CAD, and mapping systems for public-safety and law-enforcement agencies, is active in many industry associations and organizations.

iCERT assists and advises policy makers and public-safety professionals on technological issues that affect public safety and emergency response. This includes policy advocacy, research, and other activities that promote the evolution and appropriate adoption of emergency communication technologies.

“I’m honored to be able to contribute to an organization that assists public-safety agencies in their efforts to employ sound, forward-looking policies, practices, and technologies,” said O’Hara. “This allows Zetron to play a key role in helping customers and the industry navigate the complex and challenging issues associated with the rapid evolution of Next-Generation 9-1-1 and wireless broadband technologies.”

“With her exceptional experience and keen industry insights, Ellen will provide unique perspectives on using technology to advance public safety,” said iCERT executive director, George Rice. “She has led major commercial enterprises that support the communications needs of numerous government agencies, both domestic and international. We are pleased that she has joined the Industry Council’s board of directors and look forward to her participation in our important and ongoing dialogue on emergency communications.”
