Voiance Joins Industry Council as Board Member
Washington, DC — The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) announced that Voiance Language Services (www.voiance.com) has joined the Industry Council as the latest addition to the Association’s membership and its Board of Directors.
Voiance Language Services is a new leader in language interpreter services for emergency communications, supporting over 200 languages and operating 24/7/365. Voiance provides the shortest advertised connection times to interpreters, who work in secure contact center facilities exclusively in the US.
“Voiance supports emergency service clients across the United States by offering qualified interpreters,” noted Voiance’s Vice President, Todd Torman. “Our company services PSAPs, emergency communication centers, and police departments in some of the most linguistically diverse areas of the country. As a member of the Board we know that we can continue to help iCERT deliver on its mission to be of service to the industry and to the public, while our company gains valuable knowledge by interacting with our industry colleagues.”
“A founding premise for iCERT is that industry leaders provide ongoing and critical insights for the field of public safety and emergency response technologies. Establishing, maintaining and growing relationships among key company leaders—the members of our association—where issues are discussed and advanced is a critical aspect of today’s technology and policy development setting,” noted Darrin Reilly, Industry Council Chairman and Chief Operating Officer for TriTech Software Systems.
“Having fresh industry insights, Todd and the Voiance team will infuse our group with innovative and keen understandings,” said iCERT Executive Director, George Rice. “We are fortunate and pleased that they’ve joined the Board of Directors for the Industry Council, and we look forward to their participation in our important and ongoing dialogue on emergency communications.”
