NowForce Now Part of iCERT
Washington, D.C. — The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) announced that NowForce, a provider of emergency response software and mobile applications for first responders and community users, has become the Industry Council’s newest member.
“We are looking forward to being an active member of iCERT, and to engaging with the other members as we both contribute to, and gain from, participation in the association’s programs and projects,” noted Assaf Shafran, CEO of NowForce.
NowForce was created to keep emergency response and security organizations connected, thereby minimizing response times and maximizing situational awareness. The company’s emergency response mobile applications turn users’ phones and tablets into mobile data terminals, enabling organizations to dispatch responders based on existing protocols or via a patented dispatching engine that identifies and dispatches the closest, most relevant responders. The company’s customers include law enforcement and private security organizations, as well as EMS and fire departments who boast response times of 2-3 minutes, far below the national averages.
“Companies under the iCERT banner of membership provide unique perspectives on using technology to advance public safety,” said Industry Council Chairman, Darrin Reilly, Chief Operating Officer for TriTech Software Systems. “It is crucial that we establish and maintain relationships where central emergency communications issues can be discussed. Having NowForce as a member will help spark innovative thoughts among our membership for the benefit of improved emergency calling, communications and response systems.”
“NowForce’s mission to keep emergency and security services connected, and to enhance accountability through post-incident analyses, is an excellent fit with the Industry Council’s ongoing mission of advancing the field of emergency response technologies,” offered George Rice, the Industry Council’s Executive Director. “We are quite pleased that NowForce has joined us and we look forward to their participation in our many efforts.”
