Charlotte Fire Communications Receives APCO P33 Certification
Alexandria, VA – Charlotte Fire Communications has met the minimum training standards for the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Project 33 Training Program Certification-2010 (P33 Certification) and has been awarded certification as of March 25, 2014.
Public safety agencies utilize P33 Certification as a formal mechanism to ensure their training programs meet with the APCO American National Standards (ANS). Initial and continuing training for public safety telecommunicators is important as they provide essential services to the public in an expanding and rapidly changing environment.
“P33 Certification plays a vital role in keeping agencies up-to-date with their procedures and training programs. Charlotte Fire Communications has shown dedication to their community and those they serve by becoming P33 Certified,” said APCO President Gigi Smith.
Charlotte Fire Communications will be recognized during the Food for Thought Luncheon taking place August 6 at 11:30 a.m. as part of APCO’s 80th Annual Conference & Expo in New Orleans. To obtain a complimentary press pass, please contact Meghan McCluskey at 571-312-4400 or mccluskeym@apcointl.org.
