April is typically focused on telecommunicator awards, but several years ago the Southern California Chapter of APCO (CPRA), decided to recognize the important role played by technical staff. These are the people charged with keeping everything running smoothly. This year a number of qualified candidates were nominated, making the selection process challenging.  At the April meeting, the selection committee under the direction of John Sarkissian of Riverside County, presented the awards.
