Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall Installs Mutualink to Enhance Security and Communication during Events
Historic Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall has deployed a state-of-the-art communications system for real-time, secure collaboration with law enforcement agencies during large-scale events, including the Miss America Pageant. The platform from Mutualink enables multimedia sharing of radio, voice, text, video, data files and telephone communications in a secure environment—all in real-time.
Mutualink will dramatically increase the efficiency of communications for the 2015 Miss America Pageant in September, as well as other events taking place at the facility. By installing this technology, personnel at Boardwalk Hall will have the capability to quickly and efficiently communicate and collaborate with local, state and federal agencies in the private and public sector, should any security issues arise.
Boardwalk Hall is the latest of many local and county deployments of Mutualink technology, resulting in a community-wide interoperability network in Atlantic City. Other entities using the platform include the Atlantic City Police Department, Emergency Operations Center, a local high school, casinos and more.
“Several other agencies in and around Atlantic City already use the Mutualink system for inter-agency collaboration, so Boardwalk Hall saw it as the ideal way to tap into the existing communications infrastructure,” said Fran Rodowicz, General Manager, Boardwalk Hall. “This new capability makes our facility even more secure and efficient as we prepare for the Miss America Pageant and other high-profile events.”
Information sharing among multiple law enforcement and public safety entities will result in more efficient communication during events at Boardwalk Hall, as well as improved operational efficiencies. The new system will save time and resources, enabling personnel and local authorities to communicate in a seamless, secure environment when needed.
“The more agencies who use the Mutualink system in the Atlantic City area, the more valuable it becomes for all involved since a greater number of agencies can share valuable information in a timely, secure way,” said Mark Hatten, CEO of Mutualink. “The Interoperable Response and Preparedness Platform (IRAPP) network incubated in Atlantic City and throughout New Jersey, and is spreading nationwide. Boardwalk Hall will stand as an example for other convention centers nationwide to follow.”
