Digital Data Technologies, Inc. Provides Geospatial Components for NG9-1-1 System in Morgan County, Ohio

Company Representative July 25, 2014 Product & Service Announcements

Data Technologies, Inc. (DDTi) is providing the geospatial location validation and call routing functionality for the recently implemented General Dynamics Information Technology Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) solution for Morgan County, Ohio.

Fully conforming to NENA i3 industry standards, the DDTi Geographic Information System (GIS) elements accurately validate caller locations, route emergency calls to the correct agency, improve response times and increase situational awareness. Additional benefits include the ability for the Public Service Answering Points (PSAPs) to define “override” areas on DDTi’s mapping solution that will dynamically route emergency calls to specific dispatchers for special events, large scale emergencies or other occasions. It can also facilitate load balancing between PSAPs and enable virtual PSAPs to be established at any location with Internet connectivity.

Because geospatial data in not static in nature, DDTi’s solution includes comprehensive GIS data management capabilities that automate the ongoing data submission, quality control and data publishing required to keep the NG9-1-1 validation and routing components, as well as call taker map displays, up-to-date and accurate.

“DDTI is honored to provide the essential GIS software for the NG9-1-1 deployment in Morgan County, Ohio,” said Ron Cramer, President of DDTi. “As DDTi is a valued resource and contributor to industry standards development, it is exciting to know that Morgan County is using our software to support emergency responders in a live next generation environment.”

“Morgan County is now live with NG9-1-1 service and has removed all legacy E911 equipment from the PSAPs,” said David Bailey, Morgan County NG9-1-1 Coordinator. “With DDTi’s NG9-1-1 mapping and routing capabilities in place, emergency calls have been processed and transferred at speeds we were not accustomed to and the location mapping has been 100% accurate.”

Digital Data Technologies, Inc. provides innovative products for improving the accuracy of GIS data, locating and routing emergency calls, and maintaining ongoing data accuracy. For more information about Digital Data Technologies, Inc., please visit www.ddti.net.
