Zetron to Demo New DFSI Pathway Live at APCO
Zetron will be demonstrating its new Pathway P25 Digital Fixed Station Interface (DFSI) gateway live at the annual Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) conference in New Orleans, La., Aug. 4-6, 2014.
Live Zetron Advanced Communications (AcomEVO) and MAX Dispatch console systems will demonstrate how multiple systems can use the Pathway device to connect to a single open-standards-based DFSI base station. (Pathway supports up to four systems). In addition, because Pathway works with any manufacturer’s dispatch console that is TIA P25 DFSI-compliant, it can be used with both Zetron and non-Zetron solutions.
“Our Pathway product can be extremely useful wherever console-system migration, disaster recovery, or backup-center operations must be supported,” said Zetron Vice President of Product Management, Kathy Broadwell. “Pathway can also be critically important in multi–agency, multi-system environments where a single DFSI resource must be accessible to all systems. Zetron has taken the concept of open standards to a new level by providing a device that is designed to work not just with Zetron solutions, but with other manufacturers’ open-standards based systems as well.”
