Lancaster County-Wide Communications Receives APCO P33 Certification
Lancaster County-Wide Communications (Pa.) has met the minimum training standards for the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Project 33 Agency Training Program Certification-2010 (P33 Certification) and has been awarded certification as of August 18, 2014.
Public safety agencies utilize P33 Certification as a formal mechanism to ensure their training programs meet APCO American National Standards (ANS). Initial and continuing training for public safety telecommunicators is important as they provide essential services to the public in an expanding and rapidly changing environment.
“P33 Certification plays a vital role in keeping agencies up-to-date with their procedures and training programs. Lancaster County-Wide Communications has shown dedication to their community and those they serve by becoming P33 certified,” said APCO President John Wright.
Lancaster County-Wide Communications will be recognized during the Food for Thought Luncheon taking place August 16-19, 2015 as part of APCO’s 81st Annual Conference & Expo in Washington, DC.
