The holiday season means many things for telecommunicators: the chance to visit with family and friends, holiday parties and potlucks hosted by employers, and the joy of exchanging gifts and showing your loved ones how much you care. For many in the public safety communications industry, it can also mean working overtime or graveyard shifts on days that others get to take off.
