Sam Gargaro, Past President of APCO International (1990-1991),  Life Member, and a former APCO Frequency Adviser, has passed away.

Sam received both the J. Rhett McMillian, Jr. (1994) and Art McDole (1999) awards of distinction for exceptional accomplishments overall and of a technical nature in the field of public safety communications. He was retired after 44 years from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, where he was the Director of Electronic Communications.

Visitation is at Holcomb Henry Boom Purcell Funeral Home from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm CT Monday Feb. 16. They will move them to the church the next day for the funeral.
