Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon Receives APCO Agency Training Program Certification (P33 Certification)
Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon has met the minimum training standards for the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Agency Training Program Certification (Project 33) and has been awarded certification as of December 12, 2014.
Public safety agencies utilize the APCO Agency Training Program Certification (Project 33) as a formal mechanism to ensure their training programs meet APCO American National Standards (ANS). Initial and continuing training for public safety telecommunicators is important as they provide essential services to the public in an expanding and rapidly changing environment.
“The Agency Training Program Certification (P33 Certification) plays a vital role in keeping agencies up-to-date with their procedures and training programs. Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon has shown dedication to their community and those they serve by becoming P33 certified,” said APCO President John Wright.
Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon will be recognized during the Food for Thought Luncheon taking place August 19, 2015 as part of APCO’s 81st Annual Conference & Expo in Washington, DC.
