We regret to inform you of the passing of Debbie Caruthers, retired 9-1-1 coordinator for Orange County, Fla. Debbie was a member of the Florida chapter of APCO and sat on the Florida 9-1-1 Board. She was very influential in the emergency response community and is missed by many friends and coworkers.

Prior to her service in Orange County, Debbie worked as a PSAP manager for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Apopka, Fla., before that.

Debbie passed away due to complications during a surgery. Details on the funeral arrangement have not been released. We will be updating this page.
