APCO Honored by Shell Pipeline Company
Alexandria, VA – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International logo will be showcased on the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion driven by Joey Logano,on Sunday, March 15, during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race at Phoenix International Raceway. This recognition not only honors APCO and their presence in the public safety communications industry, but their hardworking membership as well.
“I am honored to display the APCO logo on my race car Sunday”, said Logano. “This association represents all emergency communications professionals that answer the daily calls for help across the country. I hope everyone in the stands will join me in thanking them today and every day after.”
APCO representatives will get the chance to meet 2015 Daytona 500 Champion Joey Logano, and tour the NASCAR garage and Team Penske pit area.
“I am thankful to Shell, Team Penske and Joey Logano for their recognition of APCO this week,” said APCO President John Wright. “We are proud of our membership and the work they do every day providing support to their community, so an honor like this is not only for APCO, but each member as well.”
The race will be broadcast live on FOX with a green flag start time scheduled for 3:30pm ET and can be heard on MRN Radio and Sirius/XM radio channel 90.
