PrismTech Announces Acquisition by ADLINK Technology, Inc.

Company Representative December 17, 2015 Product & Service Announcements

Boston, MA – December 14, 2015 – USA PrismTech™, a global leader in software platforms for distributed systems, has announced it will be acquired by ADLINK Technology, Inc. (TSEC: 6166), a leading provider of application-ready intelligent platforms.

Established in 1992, with offices in the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, USA and Canada, PrismTech is a global leader in software platforms and tools for the Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Internet and advanced wireless communications.  PrismTech’s international customers service many market sectors, including: industrial automation, smart cities, energy, transportation, healthcare, aerospace, defense, IT and networks.

PrismTech’s Vortex intelligent data-connectivity platform provides efficient, secure and interoperable internet scale real-time data-sharing.  Vortex is a key enabler for systems that have to reliably and securely deliver high volumes of real-time data with stringent end-to-end qualities-of-service.  The recently announced Vortex 2.0 platform enables Internet-scale seamless and secure data-connectivity across embedded, web, mobile and enterprise systems, and provides best-in-class support for Fog and Cloud computing architectures.

PrismTech is a recognized leader in IoT platform technologies with recent accolades including Gartner ‘Cool Vendor’, Postscapes ‘Must-Follow IoT Company’, Sandhill ‘Needle Mover’, and IoT Nexus ‘Power Player’.

ADLINK enables IoT with innovative embedded computing solutions for edge devices, intelligent gateways and cloud services.  ADLINK’s products are application-ready for industrial automation, communications, medical, and defense, transportation, and infotainment industries.

ADLINK’s acquisition of PrismTech will allow it to further strengthen its ARIP business, its software and systems capabilities, and its industrial IoT (IIoT) market reach.  After the acquisition PrismTech will operate as a semi-autonomous business unit.  The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Adding horizontal IoT stack expertise to ADLINK’s portfolio creates a unique opportunity to fully leverage the Vortex software and build competitive platforms for the IIoT – it can be expected for those to emerge later in 2016,” stated Jim Liu, CEO of ADLINK.  “Furthermore, the synergy of this acquisition will allow PrismTech to extend its reach and compete on a global basis with the current Vortex product and new developments.  The complementary products of ADLINK and PrismTech with software and hardware provide all the building blocks for the next stage in IIoT development, addressing the issues of increasing complexity and mission critical operational and management data.”

“This acquisition signals ADLINK’s commitment to becoming one of the premier players in the IIoT application-ready intelligent platform market,” added Lawrence Ross, CEO, PrismTech.

“I’m convinced that the acquisition will prove to be very positive for our customers, employees and the future direction of our software products.  We have built a robust IoT infrastructure and data-connectivity platform over the last few years in our award-winning Vortex product line and ADLINK and PrismTech share a vision of the future and potential of the IIoT market.  In addition to providing us with new levels of market footprint, stability and R&D investment, we believe this acquisition will also result in new innovative combinations of our products that can propel us to become the number one vendor in the vertical markets we jointly serve.”
