APCO Applauds AT&T’s New Service That Supports NG9-1-1
February 29, 2016AT&T announced a new nationwide service designed to accelerate the adoption of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). According to the announcement, AT&T ESInet will be deployed in collaboration with West Corporation (formerly Intrado) to enable IP-based communications that allow 9-1-1 public safety answering points (PSAPs) to route more detailed information more quickly and receive data such as pictures and video.
