APCO Seeks Work Group Members to Create a Standard for the Management of Emergency Incident Data
Alexandria, VA – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International has issued a call for participation for work group members to participate in the creation of an ANSI standard addressing the Management of Emergency Incident Data.
The group will focus on developing an ANSI accredited APCO/NENA Standard to provide guidance to 9-1-1 authorities, PSAP managers and application developers on how to manage data interoperability among:
• NG9-1-1 functional elements
• Public safety applications within the PSAP
• Originating and assisting PSAPs
• Emergency responder applications
• Other law enforcement, fire and EMS entities.
We are seeking individuals with operational expertise who are familiar with the requirements for exchanging data between call takers and dispatchers, emergency responders and other user systems. APCO seeks a well-balanced group that will include technical and operational subject matter experts. All Interested persons should complete the online application and indicate their preference for this workgroup at: SDC Application. The time and day that the group will meet is yet to be established. The application deadline is April 4, 2016. Selections will be made within two weeks of the deadline and all applicants will be notified of their status.
