Meet Your AFC Advisors: Emery L. Reynolds (Colorado)
AFC, APCO’s frequency coordination department, is pleased to introduce its network of dedicated local advisor volunteers. APCO’s advisors are responsible for frequency coordination in their home state and we would like to bring awareness and recognition to the dedication they exhibit on a daily basis. The public safety communications career of Mr. Reynolds began in 1965 when he joined Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office in Littleton, Colorado, as a deputy. Prior to this, he served in the United States Army in Europe and then worked for J.C. Penney’s Region Headquarters in Denver. Continuing his career as a Deputy, he was promoted to Sergeant, then Lieutenant, and a final promotion to Civilian Employee as Telecommunications Manager, until retirement in 2005 (40 yrs).
He joined Deloitte/BearingPoint in 2005, as a consultant with the 800TA Team until retiring in 2011. Emery has served from 1980 as the Radio Frequency Coordinator/Local Advisor for APCO in Colorado. He served as the Chairman of FCC Region 7’s 700 MHz Committee from 2001 to 2012 and was the Chair of this same region’s 800 MHz Committee until 2005. Emery Reynolds served on Public Safety Wireless Advisory Committee (PSWAC). He is a Life Member of APCO International.
