APCO’s advisors are responsible for frequency coordination in their home state and we would like to bring awareness and recognition to the dedication they exhibit on a daily basis. Bill Vincent has served as APCO’s Primary Frequency Advisor for Louisiana since 1987. In March of 2015, Bill retired from his career in public safety, having served 13+ years in law enforcement, which included holding the position of Chief Deputy Sheriff of Lafayette Parish, followed by 33 years as Director of the Lafayette Louisiana 9-1-1 system. He remains active in APCO where, in addition to his activities as AFC Local Advisor, he was recently re-elected by the Louisiana Chapter as its long standing Secretary/Treasurer. Bill and his wife Louise enjoy traveling and visiting their 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
