Meet Your AFC Advisors: Scott Bigham (Missouri)

AFC, APCO’s frequency coordination department, is pleased to introduce its network of dedicated local advisor volunteers. APCO’s advisors are responsible for frequency coordination in their home state and we would like to bring awareness and recognition to the dedication they exhibit on a daily basis. Please feel free to reach out to our local advisors with any questions dealing with FCC Part 90 licensing and frequency coordination.

scottbigham-195x300Scott Bigham has been the Missouri APCO Local Frequency Advisor for nine years and has been awarded AFC Rookie of the Year and AFC Advisor of the Year, twice.  He is in his second term as Chair of the APCO Local Frequency Advisory Committee, chair of the Region 24 (Missouri) 700 & 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee (RPC) and Vice-Chair of the National Regional Planning Committee (NRPC).  Scott retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Information and Communications Technology Division in 2015 after serving the citizens of Missouri for over 26 years.

He is currently working with the patrol, serving as Spectrum Manager, in a part-time position.  Scott and his wife Jocelyn of over 23 years, relocated to Macon, MO after his retirement and enjoy working in the yard, projects around their home, fishing, spending time on their back porch and exploring their new surroundings.
