Newly Integrated System Designed to Make Schools Safer

Company Representative December 29, 2016 Product & Service Announcements

ALBUQUERQUE,  NEW MEXICO,  December 2016 — Security USA Services, LLC, of Albuquerque, New Mexico has announced the release of the “Emergency Automatic Gunshot Lockdown System” known as “EAGL.” In the wake of mass shootings and in response to incidents such as Sandy Hook and the event at the Pulse Night Club in Orlando, Security USA Services has reacted with a fully automated and integrated gunshot detection, notification and lockdown system.

The EAGL system will immediately detect gunfire and alert the city’s real time crime centers and law enforcement officers’ texts and emails with real time data assessments, which include GPS location of shooter and the ballistics of the gun being used. Separate commands are sent to the CCTV system to capture imagery and track the shooter as well as emergency messaging being sent through the public address system to notify building occupants of a potential threat. All of this occurs within seconds of the initial shots fired.

“We felt it was time to address a serious epidemic that is occurring in our country, and in our schools in particular,” says Jennifer Russell one of the lead designers of the EAGL system. “By fully automating this system, we are giving occupants and care givers of the occupants the critical extra minutes occupants need before law enforcement arrives to find ways to escape the violence.” Law enforcement can arrive to an active shooter scene equipped with critical assessments such as the location of the shooter, ballistic and caliber data of the gun being used as well as imagery of the shooter to make the response more coordinated and safer for first responders.

Security USA has been providing physical security products and services to the K-12, university, government and military markets since 2009 with a special concentration on the K-12 market. “Our nation’s schools are the backbone of our communities. We felt we needed to provide a comprehensive and responsive system that addressed a serious threat to schools, and that is an active shooter situation,” says Boaz Raz President of Security USA Services, LLC.
