APCO Files Project Initiation Notification for a Standard Revision
Alexandria, VA –The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International filed a Project Initiation Notification to revise APCO/NENA ANS 3.108.2-201x Standard for Minimum Training Standards and Core Competencies for the Public Safety Communications Instructor.
The revision and re-designation process occurs every five years for all American National Standards. This ensures that all standards are up to date with current trends in operations, training and technology.
“Identifying specific core competencies and minimum training requirements for public safety communications instructors helps to ensure quality training in our industry,” said APCO International President Martha Carter.
The draft standard revision will be publicly posted for review and comments as soon as the writing group completes its work.
