TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for ISSI Messages and Procedures for Group Regrouping

Arlington VA. (October 24, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.19 Engineering Committee on Wireline System Interfaces has issued a call for interest for document TIA-102.BACG initially titled “ISSI Messages and Procedures for Group Regrouping”.

This standard will enhance the Inter-Sub System Interface (ISSI) by adding group regrouping capability. Group Regrouping enables a console to setup an air-link efficient patch among multiple groups by instructing the system to temporarily combine (regroup) the groups into a single group. Group regrouping is already defined for the Common Air Interface in TIA-102.AABH.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system owners, LMR system maintainers, P25 radio manufacturers, P25 infrastructure manufacturers, P25 radio implementers, P25 infrastructure implementers.
