Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority Integrates Zetron’s Next Generation MAX Technology

Company Representative December 14, 2017 Product & Service Announcements

Redmond, WA, December 11, 2017 – Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions, announces its deployment of MAX Call Taking, MAX Dispatch and MAX CAD’s next generation technology at Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) in Alberta, Canada. This was a huge success due to the joint effort by Zetron’s reseller WCI Whyte Communications, the telecommunications provider, TELUS, and BRFA.

Being responsible for all 9-1-1 calls throughout the Municipal District of Bonnyville, the obsolete system needed to be replaced with a new system that could be integrated with the existing P25 AFRRCS (Alberta First Responder Radio Communication System) and the Kenwood NX-5000 series radios. In addition, the ability to parse ANI/ALI data required TELUS Engineering and MAX Call Taking Engineering to write the proper software. The Zetron solution was able to meet all the requirements with a go-live date in October.

“We applaud the tremendous effort between Zetron, the BRFA, WCI Whyte communications and TELUS to collaborate and deliver a truly interoperable public safety system,” said Scott French, Zetron vice president and general manager of sales for Zetron Americas. “We are honored to be a part of a solution that helps reduce our customer’s response times, which in turn contributes to helping save lives.”

This delivers critical support well into the future for all five areas in the M.D. of Bonnyville, Town of Bonnyville, Summer Villages of Bonnyville Beach and Pelican Narrows, and the village of Glendon.
