APCO Seeks Comments on Draft Standard for Public Safety Communications Common Disposition Codes for Data Exchange

APCO International December 29, 2017 APCO, Industry

Alexandria, Va. – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International is reaffirming and seeking comments on a Candidate American National Standard (ANS) that enables disparate PSAPs and other authorized agencies to share incident disposition information.

Candidate ANS APCO 1.111.2-201X Public Safety Communications Disposition Codes for Data Exchange is open for public review and comment from December 29, 2017, through February 12, 2018.

“APCO is a premier public safety communications standards-setting body. This standard established a standardized incident disposition code list which enables agencies to exchange vital incident information.  Revising or reaffirming our standards every five years ensures APCO standards such as Common Disposition Codes for Data Exchange are up to date and relevant,” said Martha Carter, President of APCO International.
