Help Improve Emergency Communications

The SAFECOM Nationwide Survey (SNS) is an opportunity for public safety’s voice to be heard! SAFECOM and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Emergency Communications released the survey, which will provide valuable insights on the current state of the nation’s emergency communications. The results of the SNS will drive the decisions to improve our nation’s emergency communications capabilities.

  • Identify gaps in funding and capability improvements
  • Raise national awareness on emergency communications
  • Build industry knowledge by capturing reliable data
  • Influence public policy by informing decision-makers
  • Identify essential capabilities and capability gaps
  • Develop additional training and other resources, and
  • Provide a validated national perspective onemergency communication capacity.
