FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, January 22, 2018 — Lee County, Florida has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) a contract to assist in the upgrade of their radio system which supports multiple law enforcement and fire-rescue agencies as well as emergency medical services (EMS), public works, utilities, transit operations and animal services.

“Projects like this are quite complex and have a lot of moving parts,” indicated Mr. Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President and CEO. “To provide good visibility and sound management, the Lee County project will be completed in two phases. During Phase I, we will provide procurement support including business requirements development, RFP generation, proposal evaluation technical assistance and contract negotiations support. Phase II will include systems analysis, project planning and implementation support services. FE is also available to provide vendor project management, site inspections and quality assurance services should the county desire.”

Federal Engineering is a leading, nationwide firm providing analysis, design, procurement and implementation support for NG9-1-1, PSAPs, ECCs and EOCs. These services complement FE’s wide range of consulting services in public safety and public service communications involving LTE as well as traditional VHF, UHF, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz and 4.9GHz mobile radio systems. FE also supports FirstNet planning in anticipation of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network. Since 1983, FE has completed thousands of communications projects for 46 state governments, as well as numerous local and federal government clients.
