Comba Telecom Announces Half Watt 700/800MHz Public Safety Bi-Directional Amplifier

Company Representative February 1, 2018 Product & Service Announcements

Milpitas, CA – Comba Telecom, Inc., a subsidiary of Comba Telecom Holdings LTD, today announced the expansion of its 700/800MHz CriticalPoint™ Public Safety Bi-directional Amplifier (BDA) product line to include a 0.5W (Watt) model of its popular CriticalPoint Class A and Class B BDAs.

The new CriticalPoint 0.5W BDA will feature the same award-winning features of the current 2W version but offer a cost effective solution for smaller buildings. Designed for buildings up to 100,000 square feet, the Class A version 0.5W product will support either single or dual 700MHz or 800MHz bands, supports up to 32 channels per band, and is FirstNet™ LTE Band 14 ready. Channelized AGC and Channelized Squelch are also supported, among other notable features. The Class B version is available as dual band 700/800 only, and supports up to 3 sub bands per band.

“We are excited to add a 0.5W model to our public safety BDA product line,” says Don Henry, Comba Telecom’s Public Safety Program Manager. “We know that many buildings requiring public safety in-building communications systems do not need a full 2W of power. Adding a solution that addresses smaller sized buildings gives the building owner a cost effective solution without sacrificing quality and features.”

Comba’s CriticalPoint 0.5W Class A and Class B BDA solutions will be shipping in March. For more information visit https://combausa.com/en/products/public-safety-communications.
