APCO Seeks Comments on Draft Core Competencies and Minimum Training Requirements for Public Safety Communications Instructor
Alexandria, Va. – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International is revising and seeking comments on a Candidate American National Standard (ANS) that identifies core competencies and minimum training requirements for public safety communications instructors. Candidate ANS 3.108.2-201X Core Competencies and minimum Training Standards for Public Safety Communications Instructor is open for public review and comment.
“APCO is a premier public safety communications standards setting body. This standard identifies core competencies and minimum training standards for public safety communications instructors. Revising our standards every five years ensures APCO standards are up to date and relevant,” said APCO International President Martha Carter.
