Zetron’s Annual Charity Golf Event Raises $35,000 for Behind the Badge Foundation

Company Representative September 6, 2018 Product & Service Announcements

Redmond, Wash, September 5, 2018 – Zetron, a global leader in integrated mission critical communications technology, today announced the company’s annual Shoot for the Stars charity golf tournament and auction raised over $35,000 for the Behind the Badge Foundation, an organization that supports Washington state’s law enforcement agencies, families, and communities following a line of duty death or when an officer suffers a serious injury.

The eighth annual Shoot for the Stars event hosted by Zetron was held at The Golf Club at Newcastle, in Newcastle, WA on August 21st. The event was emceed by David Rose of Q13 FOX News and host of the popular Washington’s Most Wanted television show. Shoot for the Stars has become the top public safety charity golf tournament in Washington state, drawing participation from both public sector and business leaders, as well as numerous Seattle-area celebrities, including former Seahawks Nesby Glasgow, Alonzo Mitz, and Sonics legend Slick Watts.

“Zetron’s mission critical communications business intrinsically enables us to grow very close to the vital public safety organizations, communities, and first responders our technology serves,” said Brent Dippie, Zetron President and CEO. “Shoot for the Stars has grown into a real passion for our team and a great way for us to continue to give back to the officers, agencies, and families that sacrifice so much to serve us all.”

Shoot for the Stars has raised nearly $200,000 for the Behind the Badge Foundation since the annual event began, setting a new single event fundraising record in 2018.

“Zetron has become a valuable and unwavering partner to the Behind the Badge Foundation and our mission,” said Vicky Stormo, Executive Director for the Behind the Badge Foundation. “This year’s record setting Shoot for the Stars was especially exceptional considering a burglary on the eve of the event left us without many of the supplies, as well as auction and raffle items that make the event possible. But the Zetron volunteer team adapted, improvised, and persevered to put on our best Shoot for the Stars event yet.”
