Oracle Buys Talari Networks

Company Representative November 20, 2018 Product & Service Announcements

On Nov. 15, 2018, Oracle entered into an agreement to acquire Talari Networks, a leading provider of Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technology offering centralized control and improved application performance used for over 500 customers in over 40 countries. Talari’s proprietary Failsafe technology enhances the benefits of SD-WAN by adding greater reliability and predictability while maintaining security for site-to-site and site-to-cloud connectivity and application access over any IP network. The transaction is expected to close in 2018.

The addition of Talari’s technology is expected to complement Oracle Communications’ leading Session Border Controller (SBC) and network management infrastructure by adding high availability and Quality-of-Experience (QoE) connectivity and cloud application access across any IP network with the reliability and predictability of private networks. Together, Oracle and Talari will accelerate digital transformation and cloud adoption by providing companies with complete enterprise network solutions that ensure reliability and performance of real-time communications and mission-critical applications over any network.

Oracle is currently reviewing the existing Talari Networks product roadmap and will be providing guidance to customers in accordance with Oracle’s standard product communication policies. Any resulting features and timing of release of such features as determined by Oracle’s review of the Talari Networks product roadmap are at the sole discretion of Oracle. All product roadmap information, whether communicated by Talari Networks or by Oracle, does not represent a commitment to deliver any material, code, or functionality, and should not be relied upon in making purchasing decisions. It is intended for information purposes only, and may not be incorporated into any contract.
